Wasps U13 came up against a very strong and well drilled Royston team who managed to score six tries in the first half. Wasps had no real answers and found themselves down early in the second half by seven tries to none.
At that point things clicked for Wasps and for the last twenty minutes of the match Wasps dominated by scoring three tries to none, put in a big defensive effort and were unlucky not to score another two tries along the way.
Royston were deserved winners 35-15 but there are plenty of positive things for Wasps to take from the second half. The whole team showed grit, tenacity and a willingness to impose themselves in the tackles and ruck area while scoring three great tries along the way.
