Last time round it ended Sarries 20 Wasps 0 and the home team this week were not going to allow a similar score line.
Scoring from the kick-off through a fantastic winning ruck and Omari taking the ball from his own 22 and running the length of the pitch was just the start the team needed. Alfie nailed the conversion and it was 'game-on'. Sarries piled through, Wasps defence held strong and the game was looking to stay close all the way through. An unconverted try brought the game to 7-5 at half-time, Wasps piled on the pressure and scored beautifully out wide with Archie crossing the line. With only seven points the difference Wasps had to hold on strong, yet after good Sarries pressure they found a way through and scored under the posts. The conversion leveled the scores and although Wasps had the better of the final five minutes the team could not find a way through.
This was a star performance all round the park with the forwards taking on their pack and winning the battle, and the backs doing some fantastic moves; there were game breakers all over the pitch.
This week saw a few boys promoted from the Bs due to consistent performances and they performed as if they had been in the team all season. Well done to them and to the team for keeping the game tight and pushing right to the end.
Man of the match was Benedict for snaffling ball and making hard yards.
