The game was effectively over after 25 minutes with the bonus points in the bag and a raft of substitiutions giving a runout for a full subs bench ensuring everyone got good game time. 7 tries in total - 5 with the forwards and 2 with the backs

The 17s started with good territory in the first half running straight lines into the oppo. defence but fair play to Finchley who put in tackle after tackle to keep the score 0-0 after 12 minutes. Some good on field retrospection by the team and suddenly the breakthroughs were supported by the line runners. Good combinations between forwards and backs (notable contributions from No 8 - Jordan, back row Alex, winger Jamal and centre debutants Joseph and Henri ) ensured the ball kept moving, the second try from our 22 - the ball was passed and off-loaded well into double figures before touching down over the try line.

The second half started similarly with the try of the match from flanker Leo - a turnover from tight head Florian on the Finchley 22, quick distribution from scrum half Theo, sharp pass to the oncoming flanker substitute Leo, a one -two with Hooker - Ossama and a burst over the line - Almost as if they planned it on the training ground. Many substitutions followed, a few missed tackles and going down to 14 men allowed Finchley to score a few well worked tries but this 7 try bonus point win was a good first outing for the black n gold this season, congratulations to the 7 players making debuts.
