Lead by newly appointed captain, Kate Alder, Wasps FC Ladies face Harlequins Women in the first game of the inaugural Tyrrell’s premier 15s season, this Saturday 16th September at Wasps FC, Twyford Avenue.

Kate Alder, outside centre, has taken over captainship from Sarah Mitchelson who will be starting at 8 and also celebrating her 150th cap for Wasps FC Ladies. This game also sees many players pull on a Wasps shirt for the first time including, Tova Derk, Louise Dodd, Kate Hallett, Helena Ironton and Sammy Graham.

The team recently faced Harlequins Women in a preseason fixture in which Wasps FC Ladies won 48-17- a hugely beneficial opportunity for both teams in the build up to the season. Pleased with this performance, Director of Rugby at Wasps FC Ladies, Giselle Mather looks forward to what is to come-
