Sunday 25 September - training

We had a great session last Sunday - thanks very much for your active participation which the kids all seemed to love!

Here are some top tips for the next sessions:

1. WEATHER
If there is heavy rain, the pitch gets waterlogged easily and Sunday sessions can be cancelled.

Please always check the Wasps website prior to leaving your house to see if this is the case.

Or Check you emails as we would have probably send one out to this list.

Alternatively, call COACH ROGER (07930395931 – 02089936077) or COACH CALLIXTE (07939082055) to check.

2. KIT:

If it has been raining and we are playing, then shoes with Studs are very helpful for the kids to help them run.

Always take an extra top, more than you think they need. It is often colder out there than you think!

Rugby gloves for kids are GREAT because they keep the hands warm and allow for passing and catching.

3. SNACK
Bananas are a great snack during the water-break. Instant energy!

Choccy biscuits are more common though.

When it gets cold, flasks of hot choc are appreciated for the kids.

4. ADMIN
Once you are convinced your child would like to come each week, or at the latest before 30 September, then please ensure that:

(i) you have filled the Registration Form of the RFU (We always have a few available on-site)

(ii) make payment for the Subs via the website or please go to Dom Benson in the Clubhouse (he should be in the room behind the bar) and he will take your money and ensure that this is logged against your child's membership.

ON-LINE:
1. Go to www.waspsfootballclub.co.uk and register your details so that you have a username and password to log on

2. click "SUBS" tab from the main tab menu across top of page

3. Look down the page of instructions near the bottom on the right for a box that says "CLICK TO BEGIN"

4. Make the selection for "Minis Player Subscription" (£95) or "Siblings Subscription" if they have a brother or sister already paid for

5. Follow rest of details on the screen

5. London Wasps FC celebration day on the 9 October

We have been invited to London Wasps FC celebration day on the 9 October - The Match at Adams Park is WASPS v Bath . 30 of our players (selected randomly from all ages groups U6-U12) will get to go out onto the pitch as flag wavers and 2 will become mascots for the day. ALL players, coaches will be paraded on the pitch at half time.

6. FINALLY
ABOVE ALL THESE SESSIONS ARE ABOUT KIDS ENJOYING THEMSELVES THOUGH RUGBY AND HAVING FUN!!

Please join us on the pitch, don’t be shy, and bring your kit! We understand Mark may join us!

ALL players, coaches will be paraded on the pitch at half time.

An Adult tickets £13.50, Concessions children £7.20+ £5 for the coach too and from Adams Park (each person)
