We're finding out a little more about some of our players on International Women's Day - Next up is Harriet Millar-Mills

What is your role at the club?
I joined Wasps in 2017 as a number eight. I am currently injured so have been acting as the development squads’ forwards coach until I can play again next season.

What do you do outside of rugby?
Outside of rugby I work as a mathematics teacher at Tudor Hall School – But I have also run a marathon, studied at Loughborough University and once had two ACL operations within one year.

What is your best rugby memory?
I have several! One is winning the Six Nations Grand Slam in Ireland on St Patrick’s Day in 2017. My first game at Twickenham against Wales in 2012 was pretty special, but also winning Premiership Players player of the year award two years in a row was pretty cool!

What is your favourite thing about being part of Wasps?
Being part of a family and always having people to go to pick you up. Also being able to surround myself with people who love playing rugby and are motivated at being the best version of themselves.

What piece of advice would you give girls starting out their rugby journeys?
Enjoy it! Don’t overthink it, and embrace every opportunity which comes your way!
