Wasps will look to continue their outstanding form in the development league as they travel to Worcester Valkyries this weekend. Still with just one loss this season, Wasps sit one point behind the leaders and have racked up the most points of any side so far in the development league.
Wasps travel to Worcester off the back off an impressive 47-0 victory over Firwood Waterloo at home last weekend. With nine tries, including four for fly-half Deidre Roberts, they continue to prove a threat with ball in hand from anywhere on the field.
The visitors make six changes to the starting line-up from last weekend. In a reshuffled backline Kendal Templeman returns to the side at outside centre with Michaela Dorrian coming in at scrum half.
Megan Horwood (Sponsored by Newbury Self Store) regains her starting spot in the backrow and Amy Wigley returns to the side after a spell with the first team last weekend. In the front row Helena Ironton will pick up her first start of the season at hooker, while Daniker Willmore joins her in the starting line-up at prop.
In the replacements Wasps welcome back Rose Dixon after her return from her first deployment with the Royal Navy. She was part of the unit with HMS Dragon that secured two major drugs bust in under a fortnight!
Wasps travel to a Worcester side that lie 9th in the development league, having picked up two wins so far this season. Those wins have come on the road against Loughborough Lightning and at home against Darlington Mowden Park Sharks. Last week, however, they were on the wrong end of a 57-0 loss against Richmond at the Athletic Ground.
With 36 tries just in the starting line-up, Wasps will want to continue to tally up the scores, but also match it with their impressive defensive effort. The visitors have already held Worcester to zero points earlier in the season in an 81-0 win at Twyford Avenue. With the trip to Worcester being the final game for the development side before the new year, they will want to end 2018 on a high with a strong performance.
