Wasps FC welcomed May & Baker to Twyford Avenue as they rounded off their pre-season with another good mix of 1s and 2s players and some new debutants.
Despite the scoreline suggesting a one sided game, it was far from it. There was some great attacking play in the middle sixty minutes from a Wasps FC side who were again trying-out new combinations in key positions. The home side created a number of try scoring opportunities which, on another day, would be converted to give the upper hand for long periods of both halves. Two well-worked tries from Nathan Flynn and Nathan Hickling were the least Wasps FC deserved.
With the league season getting underway for the 1sts and 2nd’s only days away, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance for training next week and into the build up for next weekend.
