Another Great Win

Wasps U14 V London Scottish Away

Sunday 12 January 2014

What an incredibly tense and close league
game! It remained undecided almost until the end, and the score board started
to tick 20' in the first half for Wasps who put 5 points on the
score board. But London Scottish did not give up one minute and we can
respect the spirit and commitment of all these players who were obviously
well drilled. Dominating in the scrum they eventually managed to stabilise
the situation, keeping the ball in their own put-in, and winning a few of
theirs. The line-outs were not our best part of the game and we definitely
need to work on it. But let's come back to the game. We started the second
half the best possible way, scoring the first try and actually, our second.
Superb defence, good passing, nice technical moves (we saw pods and switch
pass), engagement and commitment from all the players including the subs,
that we started to roll-in. And three more tries and a bonus point came our way,
while our line remained unviolated, except on one occasion. Our boys did not score by
chance, and if Isaiah was instrumental in scoring 3 of the 4 tries (Ii I am
right?) more than once he was put in the best position by the whole team
effort. Congratulations to the 24 players!!!! If I am not mistaken we should
sit at the top of the table with this fine win. At the end a close game that
is only partially reflected by the score but our boys can be proud, they
deserve their win.

I commend all the players for their commitment, spirit, energy, whether they
played 50 or 2 minutes, they all deserve a big big bravo!

Final score: 05:20 to Wasps
