The U14 Killer Bs bounced back to Division 5 for next season as League Champs in Division 6 by a single point over Old Albanians

It was a top of the table clash with either team capable of winning the league. In the end the Wasps U14 Killer Bs scored with less than a minute to go to claim a loosing bonus point and with it the league championship on 20 points. Old Abanians runners up on 19 points

It was a miserable morning with a steady drizzle that developed into a moderate downpour. Despite this 23 members of the Killer Bs warmed up for their final league game. Without Bojan Ceceric, promoted to the As squad,it would have to be a team performance.

After absorbing a period of sustained Old As pressure, Arthur Morgan led the way going over for the first try. However we then let their large outside centre in for a brace of soft tries. The score at 1/2 time 5-12 to Hertford.

In the second half Arthur again went over for a second to bring us back to within 2. Injuries to Gautier Lecalvez, Jack Hardwidge and Sean Hyland then unsettled the team and we allowed Old As over in the corner to take a 7 point lead (and put the league title in doubt).

However the team dug deep fought their way down the pitch and then with only a couple of minutes on the clock a quick thinking Sam Cunningham bundled over the line from quick penalty.

WIth it came a losing bonus point and the league title

Joint Man of the Match: James Cook great attacking play and Sam Cunningham for his League Wining Try.

-----
Matthew Delargy captained the team, leading by example with a great work rate and always breaking the gain line with ball in hand. James Cook had a stormer at No. 8 effective with ball in hand and off-loading well. Guy MacDonald & Magnus Lewis were tireless in the 2nd row. Matteo Quirke had a controlled game, varying his lineout throws well against tall opposition. Well done to the front row combo of Jack, John, Sean & Eman for good physicality in the scrum and breakdown, Jack & Sean both sustaining injuries in the second half.

In the back row Haydn & Sam where quick to the breakdown and carried and tackled well.

In the backline it was good to see Conor Gilmartin back from injury. Arthur Morgan showed his kicking Game is developing well. Tristain, Max, Harry, Simon Max & Rappa all broke the gain line with ball in hand.
Gautier as usual as a rock at the back.

Other Squad members Tancrede, Alex, Issac, James, Ben, Lewis & Bojan while not in the game today have all played there part in the squad.

Roll on Div 5 next season
