Wasps II 67 - Ickenham II 0

On a glorious Indian summer’s day, Wasps beat Ickenham at Twyford Avenue.

The Ickenham scrum held firm all afternoon, but the dogged Wasps back-row snuffed out any further Ickenham attacks.

Thomas (the tank engine) scored four tries on the wing, and was in contention for man of the match, but that was awarded to Marty Boyland, who spent the whole match in the face of the opposition. They won’t be wanting to see another dreadlocked Kiwi in a hurry.

Dick of the day was very nearly given to the Riddler for attempting a drop-goal with a 100 man overlap, then missing one in front of the posts, but, on captain’s orders it went to full back Martin for twice holding on in two-on-one situations.

A great win for Wasps.
