A Team - Slightly tougher opposition this week for the A team but we came through with a good win overall. Scrummaging was particularly impressive and something we worked on before the game which paid off. The other very important area of the game that the coaches talk about everyweek is teamwork and passing to teammates in a better position than yourself. Jagos try in particular was the result of 4 others passing unselfishly to teammates in better positions. Well done everyone involved. Next week we need to work on 3 areas. One is going up in a straight line in defence and backs being slightly more forceful in the tackle. Two is making sure we have the nearest 2 players helping out in the tackle area. Three is make sure you run straight even if it is only one step before you pass.

Man of the day - Oscar Cryer

Development team. This Sunday the 20 boys trained with a focus on the basics. As Ruislip only had an A and B team we played a game amongst ourselves where the two teams put into practice some of the aspects covered. By the end of practice both teams saw the benefit of keeping the ball moving along the line and we saw some good passages of play.
