Wasps Ladies member plays in Major Stanley cup fixture for Oxford Uni for the first time.

Wasps Ladies proudly boast an array of successful athletes both on and off the field. Alongside playing for Wasps, many of our athletes represent other sports teams including the Armed Forces and the Barbarians, Jo Dombrowski is now added to list by playing for Oxford University in the historic inaugural Major Stanley fixture.

Jo, originally from the US, attended the prestigious Oxford University and played for their rugby team during her time there.

After impressing at her time playing for Oxford, Dombrowski was invited back to play for the blues in the first ever women's Major Stanley match, marking the 100 year anniversary of the men's fixture. We are proud of Jo's achievements and will continue to support her in her endeavours.

Jo, "This year is the first year in the fixtures a hundred year history that the women have a game. I'm really grateful and proud to be part of the first women's Major Stanley side. I think it's a reflection of how far women's rugby has come - even the world's most historic universities are taking notice."
