WELCOME TO THE WASPS LADIES' WEBSITE

Wasps Ladies are at the forefront of women's rugby in the UK
and currently have two teams, one in the Premiership and one in the Championship SE 2. We train and play our home games at Twyford Avenue Sports Ground in Acton, West London, close to Ealing Common (Piccadilly and District Lines) and West Acton (Central Line) tube stations and the 207, 427 and 607 bus routes along Uxbridge Road. Click here to view a map. Training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30-9:00pm with games on Sundays.

As a club we have a mixture of abilities ranging from complete beginners to seasoned internationals (England 7s, Senior and U20s; Wales; New Zealand; Samoa; Finland). In January of this year three waspies were selected to represent the England 7s Team at the San Diego Sevens on 13/14 February 2009 (captained by Sue Day from Wasps); we have also had seven players involved in this season's England Senior squads. In 2007 several of our players were selected to play for England in the Women's 6 Nations (captained by Sue Day from Wasps) and the European Championships (captained by Shelley Rae from Wasps). Our 1st team also formed the core of the England Women's World Cup Squad in 2006 with nine waspies travelling to Canada to represent England, Canada and Samoa. Since 2000 our womens' teams have achieved three League titles and in 2004-2005 won both the Premiership League and Cup.
