Wasps attract exciting talent from New Zealand and France

Joining Wasps Ladies from Wellington Pride and Manawatu Cyclones in New Zealand is Lizzie Goulden and Kendal Templeman. Whilst strengthening our French contingent in the club is Khadidja Camara joining us from Ac Bobigny 93.

Goulden and Templeman were considering a big change and both looking to "have a crack at playing rugby overseas". Having spoken to Goulden's family friend Nolli, they both knew straight away that the coaching and culture here at Wasps was something they wanted to be part of and within 6 weeks of making the decision they arrived at Twyford Avenue.

Templeman said "Everything has exceeded expectations so far, everyone is so welcoming, friendly and talented."

When asked about how they feel to pull on the black and gold for the first time, Goulden is "Absolutely Fizzing! The Wasps name and legacy is recognised worldwide and to have the chance to be a part of that is very exciting for me. I can't wait!"

Not quite as far away from home and joining Wasps Ladies from top 8 side Ac Bobigny 93 is Camara. Having also played for the French Navy, French University 7s and French Rugby 7s Camara is a speedy, hard hitting player who can cover both flanker and centre. Looking to continue playing high level rugby and improve her English, Camara is looking forward to pulling on the black and gold for the first time, "I will try to do my best and bring my French touch".
