Wasps legend and France World Cup Captain Serge Betsen has agreed terms to provide coaching to Wasps FC as part of his Serge Betsen Rugby Academy (SBR).

Serge and his team will provide ongoing coaching sessions to compliment and support the existing coaching structure at the club. The club has been recently recognised as leading the way in coaching provision for mini and youth rugby at the Mitsubishi Awards presented at Twickenham.

Serge Betsen said “I am delighted to be working with Wasps again”, on his coaching philosophy he said, “ more than just a game, rugby has given me the tools both on and off the pitch. And this is the governing principle of what we do at SBR. We look forward to working with the WASPS Fc coaching teams to build a programmes for girls and boys and aim to deliver high-quality coaching through innovative techniques"

Waheed Aslam, Youth Chairman said, “it’s a great honour to welcome back Serge to the Wasps family, to this day he is both a Wasps legend and provides inspiration to Wasps players right throughout the age groups. It’s great to see the old boys return to their roots to support the minis and youth players”.
