Training Times - numbers in each age group and section have grown well over the last few years. Demand on pitches has increased and in order to ease that demand we will be staggering training on Sundays from now on:

9.30 am to 11.00 am - U6’s to U12s
11.00 am to 12.30 pm - U13s to Colts

Minis may start earlier, at 9.00 am in order to keep the two hour format - all we ask is that you are wrapped up by 11.00 am. The U12s and above can train until 1.00 pm if they wish.

Kit supplier - The subs for the minis will again include a playing shirt, from a new supplier, Samurai. It incorporates a new design, with a new sponsor, and it will be reversible, making inter-club games easier. Other kit will be available through Wasps' online club shop: https://samuraiclubshops.com/uk/waspsfc/. Youth players will receive a polo shirt.

Subscriptions - Payments are now live on the Wasps FC website. We encourage parents to pay up sooner rather than later and remind the minis parents that your child cannot get a complimentary new season shirt until payment clears.

Fixtures Admin - As some age groups start to arrange their fixtures please ensure the dates and times are ok with Amy in the office before confirming with the opposition! League fixtures always take priority over friendlies but please double check the diary first. She will also need to know numbers for catering and, most important, please let her know if a fixture is cancelled as soon as possibe.

Key Season Dates - There will be a full list of important dates coming out soon but the key dates for the season are:

Start of Season: 2nd September 2018
Christmas closure: 23rd & 30th December 2018
Minis & Youth Awards Day: 14th April 2019

Coaching - Many of you may have seen Serge Betsen on the sidelines and know that he is still an important part of Wasps Legends. He runs a group of coaches in schools across West London and our own summer camps. Some of his coaches will be on hand each Sunday to help across the age groups! We also hope to enlist some of the Men's and Ladies' team players for some guest appearances. Finally, we would like to share best practice across the ages so will be holding some informal half hour pre/post training sessions too.

I am running a 'Coaching the Tackle' course for the U9’s coaches on Thursday 30th August at 7.00 pm but all are welcome if you would like to refresh your knowledge on Power of Tower, tackle, scrum and rucking body position.

The RFU is running a series of coaching CPD courses at Staines RFC on Wednesday 12th September for coaches of age groups U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14 (U9 is fully booked up sadly)

U9-U11 start at 6:30 pm
U12-14 start at 7.30 pm
All sessions are 2.5 hours long
